I provide individual therapy for adults 18+ both in-person and online. My foundation is holistic, trauma-informed, and person-centered (meaning, I believe you are the expert on you), and depending on the client I utilize the following types of therapy: Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based, mindfulness, and strength-based. I have over ten years of experience providing therapy to help people navigate grief, life transitions, anxiety, and relationship issues. It is crucial to take into account the whole person and their context when determining what therapy will look like. There is no one-size-fits-all approach and we will work together to determine what will be a good fit for you. If something isn’t working, we’ll try something else. I believe that we all have the capacity to grow and change, and at the same time, I recognize the very real limitations and challenges of oppression and other systemic and societal issues.

I am not an in-network provider with any insurance companies, however, if your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits you may be able to use your insurance to help cover the cost of therapy. If you choose to utilize your insurance, I can provide you with the paperwork (“superbill” ) to submit to your insurance company. I am happy to discuss this process with you further during our consultation.
-
I see clients weekly. In my experience, clients make the most progress when we meet consistently. In most cases, you will have a set appointment at the same day/time each week.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. If you are interested in extended sessions, please ask.

The best way to find out if we’re a good fit is to book a 15-minute phone or video consultation.

The free consultation gives you the opportunity to share your hopes for therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for what it might be like to work with me. It will also help me get a better understanding of what you’re looking for so I can determine if I’m the right person to help. If it seems like we’re a good fit then we will schedule your first appointment and get you set up in the secure online portal where you can complete your paperwork prior to our first session.

Therapy can benefit individuals dealing with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, grief, and life transitions. If you're experiencing distress, feeling stuck or overwhelmed, or seeking personal development, therapy might be a valuable resource.

In the first few sessions we will spend time getting to know each other and setting the foundation for our work together. We will review the paperwork you filled out prior to session and you will have the opportunity to further discuss what brought you to therapy. I will likely ask you a lot of questions to make sure I have a good understanding of your needs. We will begin to set therapy goals and make a plan for how to get there.

You can expect to feel supported and challenged. I am dedicated to providing a non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable to freely express yourself. No topic is off the table. Engaging in therapy is often hard work, but it doesn’t need to be serious all the time — there is plenty of room for humor and laughter.

The duration of therapy varies from person to person and depends on several factors. Many clients start to experience improvements within the first few weeks of therapy and begin to reach their therapy goals within 12 months. Some people take longer and others get what they need in less time. It is difficult to predict the amount of time you will need until we begin working together and establish your therapy goals.

Progress is often not linear and sometimes we feel worse before we feel better. That being said, if something is not working then we will change course. I regularly check-in with my clients about what is, and is not, working so we can make adjustments as needed. Therapy is a collaborative process and I encourage you to openly communicate any concerns about your progress.
